Thousands of frontline hospital staff – our fantastic nurses, health care assistants, ward clerks, orderlies and the oft-forgotten cleaners – will be enjoying healthy and delicious meals delivered straight to their doorstep from Kiwi legends Jess’ Underground Kitchen.
It’s tough out there at the moment, and we are all incredibly grateful to the frontline workers who are putting their life on the line to get us all through.
Fisher Funds (who are funding this) and Jess’ Underground Kitchen have teamed up and found a way to help ease the pressure for New Zealand frontline workers; in particular parents who are called away from their children to help others.
The COVID-19 pandemic has turned the world upside down. As a result, most of us are staying home and staying safe. However, hospital care staff are putting themselves at risk every day.
It’s easy to get caught up in our own bubble (excuse the pun) and become focussed on ourselves. Of course we are missing the treat of an easy takeaway after a long day – but we’re safe in our bubbles not on the front line!
If you’re a hospital nurse, health care assistant, orderly, cleaner or ward clerk, we want to say thank you.
We know it’s hard to juggle shift work with the lockdown restrictions and getting a nutritious meal, so they’re going to be donating 3,000 ready-to-heat, delicious frozen dinners delivered directly to your front door from Kiwi company Jess’ Underground Kitchen (JUK).
To find out if you’re eligible for this, and to register for it, please visit https://fisherfunds.co.nz/feedthefrontline
Thanks to Jess’ Underground Kitchen and Fisher Funds for doing this and helping some of our most essential workers.
